WordPress Feature: Enable WooCommerce engagement boost!

Recover Abandoned WooCommerce carts and re-engage potential customers

The Aimtell WordPress plugin now includes a powerful feature to help recover abandoned WooCommerce carts and re-engage potential customers. Once enabled, the plugin detects when a customer adds items to their WooCommerce cart but leaves without completing the checkout. This feature provides a seamless way to re-engage potential customers and capture sales that might otherwise be lost.

Install and configure the Aimtell plugin for browse abandonment.

  1. Install the Aimtell Push plugin if you have not already done so.

  2. Navigate to the WordPress admin portal on your website.

  3. In the left menu, navigate to Aimtell Push > Settings.

  4. Enable the WooCommerce engagement boost checkbox.

  5. Log into https://dashboard.aimtell.com/
    1. If you have the Aimtell Push plugin installed, you can quickly log into the Aimtell dashboard by:

      1. Navigating to Aimtell Push > Aimtell Push in your WordPress admin.

      2. And then signing into your Aimtell account.

      3. Once signed in, click continue to your dashboard.

  12. Click the Trigger tab to begin adding data necessary to take advantage of the browse abandon event that Aimtell will be tracking. This is used to deliver yor push notifications to subscribers.
    1. In the Event Category field, enter Cart
    2. In the Event Action field, enter Abandoned

  13. Click the blue button in the bottom right (Activate, or Update Campaign) to save and activate the campaign.

That’s it! Now, when subscribers add products to their cart, this will automatically start the cart abandonment process.

If the subscriber goes on to purchase the items in their cart, then the abandon cart event will not occur, and the triggered notification will not be delivered.

If the subscriber does not go on to purchase the items in their cart, the Aimtell platform will automatically trigger a Cart Abandoned event, which will deliver the newly-created Trigger campaign. This is a great way to recapture some lost revenue, and also help potentially-forgetful customers to purchase the items they want and need!
